I use combination-tanned cowhide for this upright tote, sized for A4 documents, files and magazines.
Replaceable handles give you a choice of how to carry the bag. A compatible long strap is also available for shoulder carry.
Attention to the inside, too.
I leave the bag unlined and treat the reverse of the leather to reduce loose fibres. A pigskin inside pocket gives smaller belongings a place of their own.
