I made this generous A3 tote from a single piece of leather, with a slim gusset and replaceable handles to suit how you carry it.

A generous bag with a slim profile.
I sized the bag to take A3 documents with room to spare. The 65 mm gusset keeps its large outline slim.
The handles are replaceable, so you can choose a setup for carrying it by hand or over your shoulder.
Attention to the inside, too.
I leave the bag unlined and treat the reverse of the leather to reduce loose fibres. A pigskin inside pocket gives smaller belongings a place of their own.
One piece of leather, carefully finished edges.
I make the body from a single piece of combination-tanned cowhide. I prepare the leather edges, apply dye, then polish them with beeswax.
